KIK Customer Products is a leader in packaging products that clean and protect the places, things and people you love. As a private label distributor for Costco, KIK reached out to Studio PKG’s team of industrial designers to elevate the packaging’s retail experience through a custom solution.

The Objective – Optimize for the Retail Experience

Designing a dual-neck bottle has its challenges. The bottle must meet two different fill levels, one for filling and the second for when it’s placed on the side for dispensing. Throughout the design process, it was important to maintain neck distances to distribute the pallet’s top load weight evenly across the bottles.

Visually, the form needed to evoke a calming natural look while incorporating an ergonomic handle that consumers could utilize for direct-to-floor shopping and carrying.

Our Approach – Customer-Centric Solution

While Studio PKG notably enhanced the packaging’s form and visibility, a high focus was also given to the club store shopping experience. Testing of ergonomics, palletization, and shipper box dimensions was done to provide consumers with an eye-catching design they could easily use.
